Born in San Jose, California of Mexican & Puerto Rican decent. Lived most of his life on the East part of San Jose. Went to High School @ Independence High. Spent some time in trade school for multimedia and webdesign to help secure a solid ground for the music business to try and keep most of the work inhouse.

Musical background; been singing since the age of about 8 or 9 and rapping professionally for about 4 years. Musical influences and respected individuals in the rap industry are: Tupac Shakur, Tech N9ne, Nas, Jay Z, Big Punisher, Eminem, Casual, Outkasts, Biggie Smalls, Devin The Dude, N.O.R.E., Mr.Kee and more. R&B wise it would be: Marvin Gaye, Al Green, Wilson Pickett, R.Kelly (BEFORE THE BULLSHIT), Ginuwine, Donnell Jones, H-Town, D'Angelo and many many more.

Style wise as to Playa Rae's music it ranges from smooth type music with some nice vocals to some fast pased up tempo rap material. Versatility would best describe his style as an artist. If you need singing on a hook or throughout the song he can provide that. If you need some heated 16's & hook, he can provide that as well.

In 2001 he finally made his cd debut on HC2C Vol.1 which was released by D.U.G.O.U.T. from there on out, it's been nothing but nonstop work. In a matter of 3 years he haas featured on just about 27 different projects which most are scheduled to drop this year. Work ethic is something he does not lack and most who know him and have worked with him can vouch for that. Well known as a Networking guru, Playa Rae has a wing span that touches from coast to coast in the United States as well as some parts internationally. It's almost 2nd nature to him when it comes to networking or pluggin business from other states and labels. You will see that when HC2C Vol. 2 drops and folks realize the areas that were hit artist wise. New boundaries were broken that's a guarrantee.

So what's this cats long term goal you ask? Well, already going nationwide through Bayside he has conquered that feat. Now he has plans to take it to the next level and not only go nationwide with his next two releases (The Comp & Solo E.P.), but he has plans to hit the road and make some changes to the way business was 1st handled with this label back when it first started. Has a move or change been made? Yep....he is now located in the Mid West near Denver, Co. and has been featuring on numerous projects out in the area and has plans to hit Kansas in the near future. When the next two releases are dropped, he then hits the road to Texas, Arizona, Cali, Las Vegas and more.
